I’m Caleb-Emmanuel Lérus, the founder and heart behind this brand. I’m both French and American, a proud Illinois State University alumnus, and a former track athlete who learned that discipline, balance, and purpose stretch far beyond the finish line.
My journey into food didn’t start in a kitchen , it started at home, out of love and necessity. Growing up, I learned how powerful food could be. One of my sisters lives with diabetes, and another has severe allergies to many common ingredients. Navigating those challenges taught me early on that food isn’t just about flavor, it’s about understanding, adaptability, and care. Around the same time, my own life as a student-athlete pushed me to learn how to fuel my body properly for performance and recovery.
Over the years, those experiences merged into a passion: creating food that is as thoughtful as it is delicious. At La Maison de Lérus, I blend the warmth and soul of American cooking with the precision and elegance of French cuisine, crafting flavors that tell stories and bring people together.
Everything I make carries a piece of my journey, the lessons learned through family, culture, and competition. My mission is to serve others through food that not only tastes incredible but also honors the people and experiences that shaped it.
